Meet Shiraz Merchant

Shiraz Merchant is a Chartered Professional Accountant practicing in Ontario, Canada and is the Principal Consultant for Shiraz Merchant Professional Corporation (SMPC). He has been providing accounting and tax services since 2015 and earlier, worked for mid-size to major companies in Canada and abroad at a senior level. He brings to fore his extensive experience in finance, strategic planning, risk management, process improvement, system implementation and compliance.

Shiraz’s experience spans many sectors notably, not-for-profit (healthcare, education, housing, youth and international development) and small businesses (professional services e.g., legal, architecture, merchandising, hospitality, entertainment and retail). In addition to technical expertise in accounting & finance, he understands the complexities and nuances involved in tax planning, CRA audits and compliance.
